Cats
Summer 2023 - We kidnapped/rescued Anna. Had her spayed at 6 months. She is capable of loving, but mostly refrains! She is now probably fully grown and is a very muscular sturdy but elegant madam. She's a killing machine, and like most cats, brings back offerings on a daily basis. Snakes, lizards, many rodents, mainly mice, but a few voles too. After her early attempts to catch birds up trees, she seems to have mastered the art of bird catching too.
Autumn 2024 - Petya and Bobi were helping out at the kennels next door, when noticed a friendly kitten in the garage. (The kennels seem to attract a wide range of strays!) - Charlie was more than happy that we took what is now Smelly/Molotov off his hands!
Smelly is growing quickly - loves his food and is very loving and much brighter than Anna. He'll be losing his balls in the New Year. The two of them don't really get on! and are constantly fighting, mainly in a playful manner (reluctantly on Anna's part).
We have taken Anna away with us a number of times when going to Varna and Sofia and she is good as gold. Not convinced it will work with the both of them!
A few random pictures:
Loves a log fire!
Getting nicely toasted in front of the roaring wood burner.
She's a mad cat, will happily run 30ft+ up the walnut and mulberry trees, chasing sparrows and the great tits. Don't think she fully thought this through! The birds just tease her and fly from one side of the tree to the other.
Tom and Jerry
Despite the innocent looks, she's a killer, well, sort of, she's caught 5 mice over the last 4 days, killed 2, the other 3 escaped, she doesn't immobilise them like other cats I've had, the mouse pictured managed to escape,
So far she's had birds, lizards, a snake, door mice and "normal! mice, no effing moles though, useless!
Cute, when asleep
Making the most of the cute kitten stage, doesn't last long enough!
Not as it seems
Anna was exhausted as had been out all night. Smelly seized his opportunity to get in close. Not sure how it ended, as I went to bed!
